Amazon is out of the gate early with discounts even before Prime Day arrives. And a new Amazon Echo deal proves the point. For anyone waiting to pick up a device to fill that spot on the nightstand or desk, this may be the time. The Amazon Echo Spot price has tumbled. 
While the Echo Spot is regularly discounted across discount events, we’ve not seen a big drop for a couple of months. And the last major price cut was in December 2025. So the current 44% Discount on the Echo Spot is the biggest this year. And that means you can get it for $45, not the list price of $80.

A simple smart home hub
A key feature of Echo products is easy control of smart home appliances and devices. The Spot allows you to do this, so you can ask Alexa to turn lights on or off, control your heating based on motion detection, and open and close connected blinds. All with voice activation and compatible products. 
Customizable
Choose a display you want, with weather, time, and song titles available instantly. Plus, you can choose a clock face and customize it with colors. Plus, you can set up an Alexa routine to wake you up gradually with an alarm or music, so you start the day in a way that works for you. 

What to consider before you buy
The Amazon Echo Spot is one of the more affordable and simpler Echo device options. It also cannot stream video for voice calls or other content. So, if that’s key to your needs as a home hub, a larger Echo device will be better suited. However, at the deal price, there’s a lot of value here if you want a way to control smart devices, listen to music, and have a smart alarm clock that can provide reminders throughout the day. And the deal is for all three color variants, too.
