Alyx, the AI engineering agent built into Arize AX, is now available on Google Cloud Marketplace. Teams building and running AI agents on Google Cloud can now add Alyx to their Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise environment and ask how their agents are performing, in plain language, without leaving the tools they already use every day.

What Alyx does #
Inside Arize AX, Alyx works with your traces, evaluations, datasets, and experiments to plan and carry out multi-step engineering tasks, such as investigating failures, building evaluations, and testing prompt improvements against evidence.
The Gemini Enterprise version will bring the investigation side of that work to a much wider audience. Ask Alyx a question like “how is my customer support agent doing this week?” and it searches your traces in Arize, groups related failures, and returns with a diagnosis you can act on, backed by the actual spans and tool calls behind it. Results render as structured, interactive components directly in the Gemini Enterprise chat, not as a wall of text.
Why we built it #
Most of the people who care about whether an AI agent is working are not the people who built it. Product managers, support leads, risk and compliance teams, and business owners all need to know when an agent is failing and why. Today, that usually means asking an engineer to pull up a dashboard.
Gemini Enterprise is already where many of these teams work. Putting Alyx there means anyone with an Arize account can get a trace-backed answer about agent quality in the same place they ask every other question, while the people responsible for making changes keep doing that in Arize AX. That split, where everyone can see how an agent is doing, but only authorized people can change it, is exactly what our enterprise customers in financial services and other regulated industries asked us for.
Built on open standards #
Alyx connects to Gemini Enterprise through the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol, developed by Google Cloud and now part of the Linux Foundation. A2A lets Gemini Enterprise discover what Alyx can do, hand it a task, and receive results and status updates in a standard format, with no custom integration work on the customer side.
The listing also implements A2UI, Google’s Agent-to-UI specification for agents to return rich UI components rather than plain text, which is how Alyx’s investigation results show up as readable, structured cards in the Gemini Enterprise interface. Authentication uses OAuth, so Alyx only sees the Arize spaces the signed-in user is already authorized to see.
What’s included, and what’s next #
This first release focuses on investigation and insight: asking Alyx about agent performance, finding and grouping failures, and understanding what went wrong. Remediation actions such as editing prompts, running experiments, and updating evaluators remain in Arize AX, where the full set of controls and review steps already live.
The Gemini Enterprise agent is available at no additional cost to Arize AX customers. What’s next is closing that gap. We’re building a deeper integration for teams developing agents on Gemini Enterprise so that remediation can happen alongside investigation — taking an agent from insight to experiment to improvement without leaving Gemini Enterprise. Today Alyx tells you what’s wrong; the next release will help you fix it in the same place.
“Bringing Arize to Google Cloud Marketplace will help customers quickly deploy, manage, and grow the company’s Alyx AI engineering agent on Google Cloud’s trusted, global infrastructure,” said Dai Vu, Managing Director, Marketplace & ISV GTM Programs at Google Cloud. “Arize can now securely scale and support enterprises using Alyx to help make it easier for teams building and running AI agents on Google Cloud to understand how those agents are performing.”
