On Aug 25, 2026, in Palo Alto, we got together for **Cool Chips — Hot Takes**, an independent community gathering organized by **AiNEKKO, AIFoundry, OpenHW Foundation, and 10xEngineers**. The event was happening right after Hot Chips conference and OpenAI’s announcement of Jalapeno, so most discussions were centered around the agentic development and hyper-specialization of chips.

In this session, **Allen Rush** explored an example of successful **AI-assisted semiconductor engineering** under extreme constraints (time, human and token) and the future of Edge AI hardware.

Allen discussed how the open **CORE-ET** architecture and ET Platform can serve as the foundation for agentic development and what it takes to set up effective workflows, dramatically reducing the cost and complexity of building specialized processors for Edge AI.
