Alibaba reportedly testing QwenBook as a tablet-like agent computer

Alibaba Cloud's Wuying team is developing QwenBook, a tablet-like AI device built around native agent functions, according to DoNews citing LatePost. The early-stage prototype targets office work and connects to Qwen3.8-Max and Qwen3.8-Flash, with planned system apps including meeting transcription, a wiki, smart folders, email, MyNote and MyZone, plus a WPS integration in partnership with Kingsoft. Alibaba plans to show a demonstration version at the Yunqi Conference, but the report says the full product may not arrive until late 2026 or early 2027.
