# AI leaders to attend state dinner with Jinping: Report

Several of the [technology](https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/section/technology/) industry’s most prominent [artificial intelligence](https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/artificial-intelligence/) leaders are expected to attend President [Donald Trump’s](https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/donald-trump/) state dinner for Chinese President [Xi Jinping](https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/xi-jinping/) next week, putting AI and the growing U.S.-China technology rivalry in focus as the two leaders prepare for their Sept. 24 summit.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, [Nvidia](https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/nvidia/) CEO Jensen Huang, and Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon are expected to join Trump and Xi at the White House, [according](https://www.politico.com/news/2026/09/17/ai-titans-trump-xi-dinner-01083068) to *Politico*. The summit is expected to cover a range of issues, including trade, technology, and AI.
