AI Gateway adds DeepSeek Search and Fetch tools

Vercel's AI Gateway now offers DeepSeek Search and DeepSeek Fetch, letting any model that supports tool calling find relevant pages with titles, URLs and summaries and retrieve page content as Markdown using a single AI Gateway API key, with no separate DeepSeek account required. The helpers ship in AI SDK 6.0.321 and later on v6 and 7.0.160 and later on v7, and each costs $0.75 per 1,000 billable requests, with failed requests, timeouts and empty results carrying no tool charge and model tokens billed separately. DeepSeek Fetch can retrieve result URLs from alternative search tools when DeepSeek Search fails, though Vercel notes search fallback is model-directed, so provider order and retry limits are best effort.
