We just released build 71, a minor update that fixes a few issues and adds some features: improved network stability, solves an exception when the IDE closes, adds AI code completion, and more.\n\nCodeBot should prompt you to update. If it does not, please [download the latest here](https://www.remobjects.com/portal/downloads/codebot.aspx?ref=blogs.remobjects.com).\n\n## AI Code Completion\n\nSince very early on, CodeBot has focused on agentic coding. However, we do like being hands-on and it is nice to do some coding by hand too. AI-powered code completion is highly useful here and is new in this build!\n\nTo use CodeBot's AI code completion, at any point press `Ctrl+Alt+Space`\n\n. You will see a small activity indicator next to the editor cursor, and then the completion window will appear. `Tab`\n\n(or `Enter`\n\n) accepts and inserts.\n\nThis is available for Delphi 12 and newer in this build, even though CodeBot itself currently supports back to Delphi 11; of course, we are interested in moving support earlier. We're keen to hear your feedback and have several ideas for this area going forward!\n\n## Handling Difficult Network Conditions\n\nCodeBot has a network protocol like that used by robust, ongoing communication systems like Slack or other messaging apps, which tracks messages in both directions and allows both the server and client side to understand each other's state, allows replay of messages when there are issues, and more.\n\nWe have added additional support to this protocol to handle *really* difficult networks, ones where the connection constantly goes down, or is highly unreliable. This extends the existing system (above) across more types of messages and situations, handling the entire network protocol.\n\n## New Features\n\n### Improved: Creating new projects and modules\n\nCodeBot's ability to create new projects, forms, data modules, etc has been updated. In the initial release, you usually used CodeBot after opening a project; now, you can have nothing open at all and ask it to create a project for you, completely from scratch. Of course it can add a new project to a project group too.\n\nCodeBot can now create many items from the object repository, including inherited forms/frames, and its inbuilt standard set of VCL and FMX apps, packages, console apps, and more has been updated.\n\n### Smoother Updates\n\nCodeBot will now automatically download updates in the background and then prompt you when an update is available to install. (It will never install without your permission.)\n\nInstalling right away is **strongly recommended** since while we keep the CodeBot API stable, CodeBot's backend expects to be able to use new features. It will smoothly handle if the client is out of date and cannot do something, but it's far better to have the latest installed.\n\n### Avatar\n\nFinally, a fun one: CodeBot has an avatar that can live on your desktop and provide updates on work.\n\nYou can also change its size, and ask it to hide when idle (right-click the avatar.)\n\nIt's a fun way to personify CodeBot, as well as see key updates when you need them. If you don't like the avatar – and we know it won't be to everyone's taste – you can always turn him off in the Settings. In all seriousness, showing the avatar is a great way to see onscreen notifications for key messages from CodeBot while you're doing something else.\n\n## Other Bug Fixes\n\nAn exception when the IDE closed (usually referring to GC and an unknown thread) has been resolved.
