Abode Luxury Rentals adopts storytelling strategy for AI travel search Abode Luxury Rentals, which manages more than 200 luxury vacation homes in Park City, Jackson Hole, and Sun Valley, has created fictional narratives for nearly 200 properties to boost visibility in AI-generated travel recommendations. The 12-month project with hospitality storytelling agency Kahani aims to give AI systems distinctive signals to differentiate properties, while also enhancing guest experience. Founder Neely Khan said the goal is to create original content that serves both people and machines. US: Abode Luxury Rentals has created individual fictional narratives for almost 200 vacation homes as part of a strategy intended to differentiate its portfolio and strengthen its visibility within AI-generated travel recommendations. The luxury property manager worked with hospitality storytelling agency Kahani http://www.thisiskahani.com/ for 12 months to develop the “Abode Lores”, with each narrative inspired by the location, design, features and history of a specific home. The lores have been incorporated into Abode’s updated website and will also be brought into the guest experience through physical details placed inside the properties. The project forms part of a longer-term brand strategy exploring how original content could help accommodation providers stand out to guests and within AI-powered travel discovery. Generative engine optimisation GEO refers to the process of making online content easier for artificial intelligence platforms to understand, retrieve and include in generated answers. Kahani founder Neely Khan said that conventional luxury rental descriptions often use interchangeable phrases such as “stunning views” and “premium amenities”, leaving AI systems with limited information with which to distinguish between properties. Khan said: “The Abode Lores introduce genuinely unique concepts, places, rituals and stories that become associated with each property across Abode’s portfolio, on its new website and across its wider digital footprint. “Instead of being another luxury rental, each property develops its own identity and language. Over time, our learned expectation is that this gives AI more distinctive signals to draw on when generating travel recommendations, while also making the properties more memorable for human guests. “The goal isn’t to optimise for AI alone, but to create original content that serves both people and machines.” Khan added: “Our belief is that the strongest hospitality brands in an AI-first world won’t simply rank higher. They’ll become easier to remember, easier to recommend by both bots and humans, and harder to confuse with competitors.” Founded by Rachel and Rob Alday, Abode manages more than 200 luxury vacation homes across Park City, Jackson Hole and Sun Valley.
