Impressive outlook: AMD projects second-half 2026 server CPU revenue to grow 80% year over year and 70% in 2027. It expects data center revenues to more than double in 2027, with AI GPUs growing well over 100%. - Strong momentum: Data Center sales up 16% sequentially, Data Center operating margins up three percentage points sequentially, and on-GAAP operating margins up two percentage points sequentially.

AMD beat Wall Street expectations across the board for the second quarter, posting record non-GAAP earnings per share of $1.66 versus consensus estimates of $1.61. Total revenue surged 50% year over year to a record $11.5 billion, clearing analyst projections of approximately $11.34 billion.
The strong top and bottom-line performance was fueled by the company's Data Center segment. Revenue more than doubled year over year to $6.7 billion behind robust demand for EPYC server CPUs and Instinct AI accelerators.
"Our record results mark another clear step up in AMD's financial performance and demonstrate the strength of our product portfolio and execution," AMD chair and CEO Lisa Su told analysts on the earnings call.

Despite near-term volatility, we expect share gains to drive growth well above market." - KeyBanc analyst John Vinh:"While 2Q/3Q results fell short of high expectations, we're encouraged by AMD's second half 2026/2027 outlook for DC/server CPU/Helios. As such, we're adjusting estimates. Maintain Overweight."
