It found that, since the reproduced code was not identical to the original, it was a new work, not an existing work with the copyright management information removed. According to the lawsuit, voices38 is accused of bypassing Denuvo’s protection on some 26 games from a variety of publishers. Since Denuvo only provides the anti-tamper technology to publishers, they aren’t claiming traditional copyright infringement. Instead, they are arguing that voices38 violated the DMCA by circumventing their DRM, which the DMCA specifically prohibits. However, voices38 seems nonplussed by the lawsuit. They responded to it saying that “All is fine.
