Opening applications, terminals, menus, and taking screenshots all have corresponding shortcuts. Once you get used to it, you rarely need to look around for menu entries.\n\n## Development environment requires almost no tweaking \n\nI really like its development environment.\n\nUpon opening the terminal after installation, common tools like git, nvim, and rg were already present. Node, Deno, Python, and mise were also fully prepared.\n\nUsually, when installing Linux on my own, the first thing I do after system setup is to start building up the dev environment—installing tools one by one, configuring them, and tweaking various settings. Omarchy essentially saves you from this step.\n\nIt also includes several modern command-line tools, such as eza, zoxide, fzf, and ripgrep. Previously, I would manually install these when setting up a system; now, they are automatically triggered for download on first use, eliminating the hassle of figuring out how to install them manually.\n\nThis aligns closely with the philosophy of x-cmd: **minimize the user's trouble of \"finding tools, installing tools, and configuring tools,\" simplifying \"environment preparation\" as much as possible.**\n\nIn addition, Omarchy has another distinct feature: its themes are not just simple wallpaper swaps. After selecting a theme, the terminal, Neovim, Chromium, Hyprland, notifications, and lock screen all change together, **making the entire environment look visually unified**.
