1Password wades into a right-wing mess after funding a Linux project

1Password has become embroiled in a right-wing controversy after funding a Linux project, according to a report. The article notes that DHH, creator of Omarchy 4, claimed most of its code was written by GPT-5.5, but he admitted in an interview that he does not read most of the code, raising concerns about the quality of AI-generated software.

IIRC there was a tweet by DHH saying nearly everything in Omarchy 4 was written by GPT-5.5. I think in that tweet he claimed to have reviewed it, but if he did, he obviously did a poor job. However, I just tried looking it up again sort of difficult since Nitter is dead :/ , and while doing that I found out apparently he said in an interview he doesn’t read most of the code, so it might be even more vibecoded than I thought. Presumably he lets his AI review his AI or something. I wouldn’t be shocked.
