1Password introduced task-based verification that ties AI agent access to individual tasks, addressing a gap in identity controls where agents log in, carry credentials and act on a user's behalf, SiliconANGLE reported. The company said the overlap between human and machine user characteristics can make actions harder to attribute, since an agent may appear in an audit log as the person it works for even though software took the action.
