# 1inch connects 600+ liquidity sources across 13 chains for AI agents

The DEX aggregator's upgraded MCP server gives autonomous agents direct access to 15 APIs for real-time on-chain execution, gasless swaps, and cross-chain operations.

1inch has upgraded its Model Context Protocol server to let AI agents tap into more than 600 liquidity sources across 13 blockchain networks, all through a single integration point.

The upgraded MCP server provides AI agents with direct access to 15 APIs designed for real-time market data, on-chain analysis, and trade execution.

## What the upgrade actually does

The previous version of 1inch’s MCP server focused on providing documentation and code examples. This version is a full execution framework. AI agents can now independently perform classic aggregation swaps, Fusion intent-based gasless transactions, and cross-chain operations.

Developers can set policy constraints around token pairs and transaction limits. So while the AI handles route optimization and execution, humans still define the guardrails.

1inch is also offering what it calls “AI Skills” alongside the MCP server, a toolkit designed to accelerate agent integration for developers who don’t want to build everything from scratch.

## What the upgrade actually does

Multi-agent coordination is another feature baked into the framework. Multiple AI agents can work together on complex workflows, such as rebalancing a portfolio across several chains or executing a series of dependent transactions. Goal-based workflows mean developers can define an outcome and let the agent figure out the execution path.

## The bigger picture: agentic DeFi

1inch announced the upgrade on March 30, 2026. The MCP server aggregates liquidity from over 600 sources spanning 13 distinct blockchain networks, including Ethereum and Solana, accessible via api.1inch.com/mcp/protocol.
